Matt Holway
Matt entered the race because he believes the people of District 78 deserve the right to choose a representative who will put people ahead of politics and focus on making people's lives better, not protecting political careers or serving special interests. Matt was previously registered as a Republican, and years ago became unaffiliated; he recently changed his affiliation to Democrat because he believes this is the best way to represent the values and priorities he wants to bring to public service.
A North Carolina resident for 40 years and longtime community volunteer, Matt has organized charitable events, coached high school football, served as an assistant judge with the Moore County Board of Elections, and currently volunteers with the Moore Buddies mentoring program while supporting local projects through his woodworking.
